Anni is the CEO of the Finnish Wind Power Association since 2009. During her time the association and the importance of wind power in the Finnish energy sector have increased significantly. Anni is one of the leading wind power experts in Finland. She holds a master’s degree in Environmental Sciences (MSc) and in Corporate Environmental Management (M. Econ).

Samu is the Director, Geopolitics and Resilience of Fortum. His area of expertise and research interests include the Arctic and the effects of geopolitical changes in the Arctic region, great power politics and foreign and security policy.

Samu has comprehensive experience in working for Finnish government organizations. He acted as an Advisor in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Senior analyst in strategic security analysis for the Finnish Defence Forces, Foreign and security policy expert for the Office of the President of the Republic of Finland and for the Finnish Parliament as the Secretary general in the International Parliament Cooperation organisation and as Counsellor for international affairs.

In his presentation, Samu will explore the role of renewable energy in a world shaped by geopolitical tensions, energy security concerns, and economic competition. He examines how renewable energy can reduce dependence on authoritarian countries, strengthen energy resilience, and reshape global power dynamics. Samu will also debate whether the EU is taking the right steps to promote the green transition.

Based in London, Henning covers geopolitical risk in oil and natural gas markets as well as the transition from fossil fuels to clean and renewable energy. Henning also helps major industrial firms analyse risks in their global supply chains and build long-term scenarios that help them make investment decisions.

Before returning to London in 2021, Henning was based in Singapore for seven years, covering the rise of the Asia-Pacific region to become the world’s biggest consumer of natural resources. Before joining Eurasia Group in 2019, Henning was the Asia energy editor and deputy editor in charge of Asian commodities at Reuters. Henning was introduced to the world of energy and commodities working for Platts in London, where he led the European power pricing team during the region’s market liberalization period.

In a world increasingly defined by geopolitical rivalry and economic competition, renewable energy has become a strategic asset. In his presentation, Henning will examine how the growing competition between the EU, the US, and China is reshaping energy markets, investment flows, and clean energy supply chains. Drawing on his expertise in geopolitical risk and global energy markets, he will explore what these changes mean for Europe’s competitiveness and discuss the key trends that renewable energy companies and investors should be watching in the years ahead.

As CEO of the FDCA, Antti is responsible for the association’s day-to-day operations, stakeholder collaboration, and operational development in cooperation with the board and the membership.

Antti is motivated to work toward making Finland a great place for data centers and ensuring that data centers benefit Finland. Prior to joining the Data Center Association, he served as a leading expert in the data economy at the Technology Industries of Finland.

The FDCA is an association founded in 2014 that represents Finland’s rapidly growing data center sector, which includes not only data center operators but also a wide range of service providers, consulting firms, equipment manufacturers, educational institutions, regional development companies, and other stakeholders.
