Wind 2026, the largest wind energy event in the Nordics, brings together over 700 professionals from more than 300 companies and 14 countries in Helsinki on 29 September 2026. The event gathers leading experts, decision-makers, and influencers from the wind and renewable energy sectors, including project developers, energy producers and buyers, investors, service providers, as well as public sector and regulatory stakeholders to discuss the latest trends in wind power and the future of energy systems.

Jukka is the CEO of Finnish Energy, which represents companies that produce, acquire, transmit and sell electricity, gas, district heat and district cooling and offer related services.
Jukka and Anni, two leading energy sector professionals, will discuss what the green transition looks like in Finland today through the lens of historical development and energy data. They reflect on how the actions of the most recent Finnish Parliament have shaped the country’s energy landscape and transition pathway. The conversation also explores what the future of the green transition in Finland may hold, highlighting key opportunities and challenges ahead.
Anni is the CEO of the Finnish Wind Power Association since 2009. During her time the association and the importance of wind power in the Finnish energy sector have increased significantly. Anni is one of the leading wind power experts in Finland. She holds a master’s degree in Environmental Sciences (MSc) and in Corporate Environmental Management (M. Econ).

Samu is the deputy director of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. His area of expertise and research interests include the Arctic and the effects of geopolitical changes in the Arctic region, great power politics and foreign and security policy.
Samu has comprehensive experience in working for Finnish government organizations. He acted as an Advisor in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Senior analyst in strategic security analysis for the Finnish Defence Forces, Foreign and security policy expert for the Office of the President of the Republic of Finland and for the Finnish Parliament as the Secretary general in the International Parliament Cooperation organisation and as Counsellor for international affairs.
In his presentation, Samu will explore the role of renewable energy in a world shaped by geopolitical tensions, energy security concerns, and economic competition. He examines how renewable energy can reduce dependence on authoritarian countries, strengthen energy resilience, and reshape global power dynamics. Samu will also debate whether the EU is taking the right steps to promote the green transition.
